Questions and Answers
22.10.1: Which versions of the MySQL software support Cluster? Do I have to compile from source?
MySQL Cluster is not supported in MySQL Server 5.4 releases. Instead, MySQL Cluster is released as a separate product, available as MySQL Cluster NDB 6.3 and MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0. You should use one of these for new deployments, and plan to upgrade to one of them if you are using a previous version of MySQL with clustering support. For an overview of improvements in MySQL Cluster NDB 6.2 and 6.3, see MySQL Cluster Development in MySQL Cluster NDB 6.3, and MySQL Cluster Development in MySQL Cluster NDB 7.0.
