The package provides Java GUI that mat be used to create datatool databases in datatool's internal format; such databases can be quickly imported into a LaTeX document using \input. Datatooltk may also be used in batch mode to convert from SQL or CSV or to import datasets from probsoln.

Tools are available to sort or shuffle the database.
