This is a dvd input plugin with menu support for xine.

requirements:
-------------

an os that supports dvd devices, a dvd drive, a computer...

usage:
------

do the usual stuff to compile and install this
./configure
make
make install

it'll overwrite the dvd plugin that comes with xine (so you'll have to
install it again after you've installed a new xine version).

now you can play file from DVDs the usual way, the plugin detects
locked/encrypted DVDs and unlocks/decrypts them. Note that RPC-2 drives
need to be set up for the right region with some region selector
utility like this one:

legal status:
-------------

unknown. That's why it probably won't be integrated into xine in the near
future.

Warning: decrypting DVDs may be illegal in your country.
I am no legal expert - so I don't know. And I am not sure if legal experts
really know that...

For more information on the legal status of DVD encryption visit:

visiting these sites may be illegal. Watching movies may be illegal. Life
may be illegal ...
